Former CGNZ head appointed as Independent Director
Former Director and Shareholder of CGNZ Paul Cook has been appointed as an Independent Director and Chairman at Soltius New Zealand Ltd.
Soltius is one of SAP‘s largest, longest serving and most successful partners in New Zealand with a consulting practice of close to 70 and offices in Auckland and Wellington.
Paul has more than 20 years’ experience leading professional services companies – with 10 years as the head of Ernst & Young’s consulting division and stints as Capgemini’s ANZ/Japan COO and a Hewlett Packard Vice-President.
Soltius Director and shareholder Jim Brodie says Mr Cook’s background, which includes buying Capgemini’s New Zealand operations with two former colleagues in 2002 to establish CGNZ, makes him a perfect fit for the Soltius Board.
“Soltius became New Zealand owned after a management buyout in 2006 and as a former CGNZ Director and shareholder Paul brings a great deal of experience growing a successful practice under similar circumstances.”
Mr Brodie says Soltius leads the SAP services space in New Zealand’s Large Enterprise market, as well as carrying out more successful implementations of SAP’s ERP product for mid-size companies than all other New Zealand partners combined. But the Soltius Board recognised that the right Independent Director could help the company to reach a new level.
“Paul brings an understanding of the wider professional services and IT sectors. We look forward to the leadership and ideas he can provide to grow our company and better serve our current customers.”
