ENEX draws increasing support
The oil and gas industry has reacted with enthusiasm to the new oil and gas event planned in New Plymouth next year.
Only nine months away, the inaugural ENEX is a Kiwi-owned oil and gas event to be held at the TSB Stadium in New Plymouth between June 9-10, 2011. ENEX is a joint venture between EnergyNZ magazine publisher Contrafed Publishing and event specialist, Conferenz.
“Since the launch, ENEX has attracted numerous oil and gas companies and suppliers by way of event sponsorship and trade stand participation,” says ENEX sales manager Mike Bridgman.
“Leading organisations who have already committed to the first ENEX event include Taranaki’s Oil and Gas Special Technologies Group and CApENZ, the province’s engineering consortium.
“Australian and New Zealand suppliers who have already join us include Olex, Polymer Group, Grimwood Heating, Transfield Worley and Independent Technology Group, plus many more.”
The full list of exhibitors to date can be viewed at www.ENEX.co.nz.
Conferenz sales director Dominic Duncan says local support of ENEX has been very positive from the outset.
“This is a completely new
and unique industry event format that will combine the best
elements of a conference, best-practice seminar, and trade
show to showcase oil and gas industry innovation and
capacity.”
An advisory board drawn from senior industry
executives has already met and mapped out key themes
relevant to a New Zealand context and planning involvement
of industry expert speakers, he adds.
Everything is being done to maximise the attraction of ENEX 2011 to the oil and gas sector and turn it into a ‘must attend’ event, says Bridgman.
“We will also be focussing strongly on critical job functions and projects to attract the full spectrum of oil and gas sector decision makers – recognising that decisions are influenced by employees at all levels of the industry, from operators and tradespeople through to top management,” he says.
“ENEX 2011 will cover the full gamut of oil and gas activity and technology, from exploration to the drill bit – and every activity in between.”
