Aftershock Christchurch teaches survival skills to business
If post-quake business blues are getting you down, a series of free seminars and workshops over the next three months will help you refocus and learn the skills to thrive in a disaster-challenged business environment.
Aftershock Christchurch is providing five two-hour seminars designed to help businesses address key issues that have emerged over the last month since the quake and create solutions that can be implemented immediately.
Organizers Jo Fife of Grow Your Business, Alan Cox of online marketing design consultancy, Left Click and business coaching company Advancing Business came together to brain storm the most effective way to give business owners the help they need right now.
“Independently we were thinking about what we could do,” says Jo Fife. “When we shared our ideas we realised if we joined forces we would be able to offer local businesses a powerful solution to their problems.”
Both Jo and Alan say they are hearing more frequently from their clients that they are struggling to refocus and re-energise their staff, many have lost their business premises, networks have been fractured or lost and traditional sales models no longer work.
“The seminars are designed to provide real tools for people that will show them how to restore and reinvigorate their cashflow, how to renew and revitalise their networks and how to reinvent themselves,” says Alan.
“It’s about not only surviving in the post-quake business environment but thriving.”
Alan says that one of the most powerful ways of learning new skills in this situation is by hearing how other people are coping and the seminars and workshops will be a chance for business owners to share their stories.
The first REBUILD – Your Business will be held on 28 October at 2pm (registration at 1:30pm) or 6:00pm (registration 5:50pm) at the NZIM Management House, 307 Madras St.
Aftershock Christchurch is a non-profit organisation and the seminars have been made possible through generous sponsorship from Newstalk ZB, Pacific Blue, NZ Institute of Management Southern Inc., Missing Link, VidHost, Malley & Co Lawyers, Robin Major Marketing, Intergen, Lane Neave Lawyers, Taurus accountants and Printable Solutions.
The
seminars are restricted to 30 people per event so bookings
