Liquidators report interest in E-Gas Business

Liquidators report interest in E-Gas Business

The Liquidators of retail gas provider E-Gas which was placed in liquidation on Monday, report that there are a number of parties interested in purchasing the business and are confident of industry support for that outcome.

Jeff Hart, spokesperson for the joint liquidators, Stephen Tubbs, Brian Mayo Smith and Jeff Hart of BDO Chartered Accountants, said: “While discussions have not progressed towards a conclusion with any one party, I can confirm that we have expressions of interest in the business from several potential buyers.”

Mr Hart said that the liquidators were heartened by the cooperation they had received at a meeting with participants in the gas distribution chain in Auckland yesterday.

“Good progress has been made on achieving our objectives, namely to ensure there is no disruption to customers and their gas supply, and preserving the assets and value of the E-Gas business,” Liquidator Jeff Hart said.

Customers or Creditors with any concerns are encouraged to contact the Company’s call centre on 0800 432 876.
