BurgerFuel Secures Fourth Middle East Store

BurgerFuel Secures Fourth Middle East Store On Dubai’s Busiest Road

Thursday, 4th November 2010

Hot on the heels of announcing a second site in Saudi Arabia, BurgerFuel Worldwide (BFW) has now secured a second store site in Dubai within 9 months of opening their first Middle Eastern store in February this year.

The new Dubai store is on Sheikh Zayed Road which is the busiest road in Dubai with an average of 250,000 cars per day. It’s also home to the world’s tallest building, the famous Burj Khalifah.

The site is considered to be in one of the most sought after locations in the area and offers enormous branding potential for the Middle East/North African regions.

The first UAE store opened in Jumeirah Beach Residence Dubai in July and has performed ahead of forecast. Chris Mason, BurgerFuel Managing Director of International Markets, said “this is a dream location in Dubai with Jumeirah Beach Residence trading well and Sheikh Zayed Road now confirmed, there are only two other ‘golden’ locations to acquire and then we will have the first phase of our store penetration strategy complete for Dubai.”

Alphamed Group (Al Khayat Investments) General Manager of Food & Beverage, Farah George Farah, said that “while it has taken some time to open the first store due to the high demand for retail sites in Dubai I have been extremely impressed with the professional construction, training and ongoing support from our New Zealand partners, BurgerFuel, not to mention the incredibly favourable comments from locals and tourists. This has strengthened our position in driving acquisition of prime retail sites for the BurgerFuel brand in Dubai.”

Chris Mason added that “the interest in territory sales and site opportunities throughout the Middle Eastern and North African regions has intensified dramatically with the opening of the Dubai store. The store presents the brand, product and culture that is BurgerFuel to the world.”

Josef Roberts, BurgerFuel Worldwide Managing Director, said “in terms of showcasing the brand, Dubai remains the jewel in the crown of BurgerFuel’s aspirations. It’s second only to London for exposure to outlets by global retail brands amongst all world cities. The decision to choose Dubai as BurgerFuel’s first springboard to the world is starting to pay off.”
