MACTODD appoints Ray Polson to chair newly formed board
Queenstown based South Island law firm MACTODD has appointed well known company director Ray Polson to lead its newly appointed Board. This appointment follows a future focused review of the company which has resulted in the appointment of an independent, non-executive chairman.
MACTODD spokesman Richard Cunliffe says the company is positioning itself to meet the needs of a changing client base and external environment.
“Over the past several months we have reviewed our operating model to position ourselves for future growth as a leading South Island firm that understands and responds to the needs of our clients.
“Ray’s considerable commercial experience as a director and business advisor will be applied to this focus.”
Ray is a Fellow of the NZ Institute of Chartered Accountants, an Accredited Fellow of the Institute of Directors and a member of its Accreditation Board and chairman of the Christchurch Branch. He is currently Chairman of Aurora Energy Ltd, Delta Utility Services Ltd, Selwyn Plantation Board Ltd, Ophir Gold Ltd and NZ Shipwreck Welfare Trust, and a member of the New Zealand Advisory Board for Marsh Ltd. He has recently retired as partner and chair of Polson Higgs, a leading South Island Accounting and Advisory firm.
Ray joins MACTODD as independent chairman of the board which is made up of MACTODD partners Richard Cunliffe, Jayne Macdonald and Clark Pirie.
