Nova Energy Purchases Customer Base From E - Gas

Nova Energy announced today it has purchased the customer database from liquidated energy company, E - Gas. The customer base comprises approximately 5,500 commercial customers and 1,200 residential customers.

Nova Energy spokesperson, Cressida Gates said, “Nova Energy welcomes all former E - gas customers and it is our priority to make sure the switch to us will be seamless and create no disruption to their gas supply.”

The 100% New Zealand owned and operated energy company already has around 50,000 customers across New Zealand.

“Our core business is retailing gas and we hold a large share of the wholesale, commercial and industrial gas market across New Zealand, you could say we are New Zealand’s ‘gas experts’, ” said Ms Gates.

As of November 2010 the Nova Energy gas group has achieved an 18 month trend of customer gains and is one of New Zealand’s fastest growing energy companies.

Ms Gates said, “the key to our growing success is our ability to deliver extra value to customers and price competitive energy solutions.”

Nova Energy provides gas, LPG, as well as electricity and solar hot water heating to customers throughout New Zealand.

“We will be making contact with all former E - Gas customers as quickly as possible,” Ms Gates added. “We want to reassure customers it’s business as usual however with around 7000 customers to be transferred in a very short timeframe we ask that customers only contact us with any urgent enquiries”.

For any urgent or emergency enquiries customers can contact the Nova Energy customer care team on 0800 438 427.
