Opus Announces Appointment of Two New Directors
Opus International Consultants announced today the appointment of two new directors, Dato Seri Ismail Shahudin, and Nik Airina Nik Jaffar. Opus Chairman, Kerry McDonald said the two directors will bring new expertise to the Board and provide international input to the Board’s decision making processes.
Dato Ismail Shahudin has an Honours Degree in Economics and has held a number of executive positions in the banking sector in Malaysia since 1975. He is currently on the Board of UEM Group Bhd, Expressways Bhd, Cement Industries of Malaysia, Malayan Banking Bhd, Mutiara Goodyear Development Bhd, SMPC Corporation Bhd, EP Manufacturing Bhd and Aseana Properties Ltd.
Nik Airina has a Masters Degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Miami and has worked in USA, Malaysia and South-East Asia. She was involved in the implementation and management of the North-South Expressway in Malaysia, and Plus Expressways Bhd – one of the largest toll expressways in the region. She was appointed Managing Director of Opus Group Bhd on 1 October 2010. Nik Airina has represented Malaysia at the World Road Association’s Technical Committee on Road Network Operations and is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Highway and Transportation UK. She is currently the Vice Chair of the Institute of Highway and Transport (Malaysia), honorary treasurer of the Intelligent Transport System Malaysia, and holds a number of directorships on Opus Group Berhad subsidiaries
Dato Seri Ismail Shahudin and Nik Airina Nik Jaffar join the other directors, Chair, Kerry McDonald, Suhaimi Halim, Keith Watson, Fraser Whineray, Alan Isaac, and Managing Director, David Prentice.
