PGG Wrightson launches new National Seminar Series

PGG Wrightson launches new National Seminar Series

Inspirational Paralympics medallist Mark Inglis headlines this year’s PGG Wrightson National Seminar Series, comprising 12 full day seminars starting on 29 March in Hamilton and finishing in Balclutha 27 May. Radio personality Jamie McKay will MC the Southland event (see attached flyers for dates, locations and registration form).

PGG Wrightson has assembled a world class team of agricultural experts to provide delegates with a truly global perspective on the dairy and sheep/beef primary sector value chain, with relevant insights into current market trends, latest research, international views on sustainability, traceability and pasture persistence.

Alongside keynote speakers Inglis and McKay, delegates will hear from economists Cameron Bagrie and Con Williams of ANZ, Doug Edmeades of AgKnowledge and members of the Dairy NZ Sustainability team. Supporting them are PGG Wrightson’s Wayne Nichol (agronomy and animal nutrition), Andrew Dowling (animal performance), Tony Rhodes (management systems), Matthew Strahan (crop protection), Charlotte Westwood (nutrition), Andrew Maw (farm systems) and Greg McSkimming (innovation).

Michael Thomas, Group GM of PGG Wrightson AgriServices says the national series is aimed at providing a global perspective on the business of farming, while hopefully stimulating some new thinking.

“Over the past 140 years PGG Wrightson has established itself as the service leader in farm production. But knowledge in itself isn’t worth much unless it is used to increase productivity and enhance farmer profitability. It’s why we actively and frequently strive to share information with the farming community and it’s why we have launched the National Seminar Series

“We are proud to be involved with the series and believe we have assembled the ‘A Team’ of industry professionals.”

There is no charge to attend any of the seminars, though delegates must be registered with places being limited.
