Jaffas4Chch
Campaign: Supporting Small Business in
Christchurch
Small business plays a significant part
in the New Zealand Economy and
is a major employer.
Having a strong small business sector is important
if we
are to pull out of the recession.
The destruction of the
Christchurch CBD and the loss of 750+ buildings,
means
significant disruption to least that many businesses and
even more
jobs. Neither Christchurch nor New Zealand can
afford that damage to the
economy in these fragile
times.
The Jaffas4Chch campaign is about providing
Christchurch Small Business
with the practical help they
need to save their businesses and get them
contributing
to the economy again.
Jaffas4Chch want to deploy business
people who can give practical
assistance
including:
* Helping find new / arrange repair existing
premises and/or
business equipment.
* Help find
replacement staff.
* Work with suppliers to secure
ongoing supplies.
* Reconnect with customers.
* Prepare plans for business emergency
funding.
Jaffas4Chch has already offered help to
Christchurch Business
Organizations such as the Chamber
of Commerce. Jaffas4Chch is looking to
secure funding so
it can fund the deployment of skilled business people
in
Christchurch. Individual and Corporate Sponsorship Packages
are
available.
