Mortgage Link – New Advisers Joining Mortgage Link

MEDIA RELEASE

24 March 2011

New Advisers Joining Mortgage Link

Mortgage Link, the national mortgage advisory group, is pleased to announce two new advisers have joined their brand.

In Wellington, Darrin Bunt has based himself in the Mortgage Link Hutt Valley office having recently returned from the United Kingdom where he completed the qualifications for mortgage advice within their strongly regulated environment. Darrin’s goal is to establish his own business in the Wellington region, using the unique features of the Mortgage Link proposition. He has already begun establishing referral networks and building up his own client base. Darrin also sees opportunities to build on his overseas experiences and contacts. He has completed his registration as required by the new regulatory regime, and will be working towards the National Certificate in Financial Services to meet the Mortgage Link standard of competency.

Brad Haberfield was a support officer in the Mortgage Link Waikato office and is completing his Mortgage Link accreditation as a mortgage adviser. He has completed the registration process under the Financial Advisers Act and is also working towards his National Certificate. Mortgage Link Waikato has recently invested in new premises and see Brad’s appointment as an essential part in continuing the development of their business.

Mortgage Link Chief Executive Rod Templeton said “We think our new team members are a good reflection of our group - a new business owner and a new adviser joining a well-established team. Our industry has had a lot to deal with in recent months with a slow economy, changed lending appetites and the requirements of the new regulation, so to have new people joining it is a great sign. “
