Wellington cleans up in hi-tech software stakes
The capital’s reputation as a hub for New Zealand’s hi-tech industry has been affirmed with Wellington companies taking out half of the finalist positions for the Duncan Cotterill Innovative Hi-Tech Software Product Award.
Wellington based geospatial solutions company Terralink International, website accelerator Aptimize and business software developer Bis2 will now compete to win the award, which recognises unique and innovative new software products with significant market potential.
Terralink International Managing Director Mike Donald says being chosen as a finalist was a huge vote of confidence in his team, who entered their real estate intelligence tool Property Guru for the award.
“This is a fast moving sector and it’s highly competitive. We’re proud to be recognised this way, and congratulate the other finalists,” says Mr Donald.
Mr Donald says the recognition of the Wellington finalists’ achievements helps to cement the capital’s position as the country’s hi-tech capital.
The winner of the award will be announced at a gala dinner at the TSB Arena in Wellington on Friday 6th May.
