Auckland, New Zealand - 30th March 2011: Axis Communications, the market leader in network video, today announces new outdoor-ready and affordable fixed cameras that support HDTV video quality. Easy to install and flexible, the new AXIS M11-E cameras come with a wide choice of CS-mount lenses, and are perfect for monitoring office buildings, gate, retail stores and service stations.

“The outdoor-ready cameras are an attractive complement to AXIS M11 Series that offers customers excellent video quality together with easy installation and an affordable price,” says Wai King Wong, ANZ Country Manager Axis Communications. “The IP66-rated fixed network cameras are delivered with a wall bracket, ideal for both indoor and outdoor cost-sensitive installations and wide-ranging applications.”

Thanks to their slim and compact design, the AXIS M11 Series are ideal for both indoor and outdoor installations where video surveillance is used as deterrent. The outdoor-ready cameras deliver superb image quality and support multiple, individually configurable, high-resolution video streams in H.264 and Motion JPEG in up to 30 fps in full resolution. The cameras can operate in a temperature range of -20 °C to 50 °C (-4 °F to 122 °F).

Providing excellent image quality, the camera series consists of AXIS M1114-E model with up to 1 megapixel resolution, and AXIS M1113-E with SVGA 800x600 pixel resolution. AXIS M1114-E supports HDTV video conforming with HDTV 720p standards in color fidelity, resolution, frame rate and wide-screen aspect ratio.
