Mercure Clear Mountain Lodge, Spa And Vineyard Now Open

Clear Mountain Lodge, Spa and Vineyard, nestled between the mountains of the D'Aguilar and Taylor Ranges in the heart of Brisbane's hinterland, has been re-launched following a $6.5 million refurbishment.

Now under Accor's 4 star Mercure brand the property, only 36km and 35 minutes from the city centre, offers panoramic views of Moreton Bay and the granite spires of the Glasshouse Mountains while in the evenings, the glow of Brisbane's CBD is clearly visible.

It's an oasis of tranquillity and redefines Brisbane's hinterland escapes, setting the benchmark for boutique accommodation.

General Managers Greg Pengelly and Teresa Aitken said the combination of lodge, spa and vineyard offered guests an encompassing retreat experience.

``We enjoy an exceptional outlook, boast the latest in purpose-built spa design, inspired cuisine, carefully chosen wines and accommodation designed to reflect the laid-back mood of the mountains. It's a truly unique property,'' said Mr Pengelly.

Stephanie Shepherd's latest spa, Stephanies Mountain Spa, contains six treatment suites - a hydro couple's suite, a grand VIP Bordeaux lounge and bath suite, a triple treatment room, sole therapy and manicure lounge which can accommodate up to seven people, a steam therapy cave and a unique hydro Swiss shower room.

Specialising in couples and group treatments, the spa offers a unique menu of therapies, including blissful half and full day spa journey packages. The spa’s piece de resistance, the VIP Bordeaux lounge and bath suite offers the ultimate retreat for couples seeking privacy in their own treatment and lounge domain. Equipped with massage beds and a magnificent bespoke $10,000 palazzo stone bath, the Bordeaux suite has been created to offer the feeling of a private couples spa, within a spa.

Stephanie Shepherd said that she was instantly drawn to the mountain top location and feels it offers clients a wonderful alternative to her current spa offerings.

“The treatments have a distinct natural earthy appeal. We have a strong focus on our Vino Therapies and Organic treatments, as it’s a perfect marriage with the natural mountain spa environment,” she said.

The resort's 53 rooms and suites, all with private balconies designed to take full advantage of the outlook, come complete with full hotel services and room amenities for the ultimate boutique wilderness retreat a short drive from the city.

Mandy's on the Mountain Restaurant and Bar offers appetising menus using fresh ingredients sourced regionally and complemented by a carefully chosen wine list including the Mercure Grand Vins selection, a dining experience underscored by the 180 degree panoramic views of town, country and coastline.

The Lodge will also continue to be a popular venue for conference organisers seeking a unique and relaxing environment conducive to team building, stress-free meetings and minimal distractions.

Any of the Lodge's eight air-conditioned conference and function rooms, which boast impressive views of lake, bush or city, can be configured to suit various groups up to a maximum of 240 delegates. Conference rooms feature projectors and screens, audio equipment and Wifi internet while a team of dedicated conference professionals are on hand to assist with all arrangements including, team building, events management, facilitators or speakers.

Combining sophistication with a natural, rugged backdrop, the Lodge is also an outstanding wedding venue. Ceremonial gardens, stunning views, boutique accommodation and the luxurious day spa combine to make it an idyllic setting in which to exchange wedding vows and hold a reception. On-site event co-ordinators and an experienced food and beverage team led by Executive Chef Clement Wuthrich ensure every detail is planned to the minute.

Beyond its boutique accommodation, spa and conferencing attributes, the property also features a large lap swimming pool, sun deck and full-size tennis court.

To celebrate its launch a range of spa and accommodation packages are available from $285 for two up to the ultimate two night Mountain Top Rendezvous from $1020 per couple.
