Yellow® helps Cantabrians get back on their feet

MEDIA RELEASE

6 April 2011

Yellow® helps Cantabrians get back on their feet

In order to help Cantabrians get back on their feet following the Christchurch earthquake, Yellow® is asking businesses to update their details or add a new standard business listing if they don’t already have one, that will then be included in a new, free of charge, special edition of the Christchurch Yellow® pages.

“Many businesses have had to relocate either temporarily or permanently, and some have even had to close their doors. Yellow® wants to help Christchurch businesses let their customers know that they are open for business and where they can be found - and we’ll be doing that across our entire Yellow® network of products – print, online, mobile and 018”, says Kellie Nathan, Marketing Director for Yellow®.

“We’re helping people to get their businesses back in business”, she says.

“Yellow® is the leading business and residential information provider and is in a unique position to provide the Christchurch community with the most up to date information on local businesses in order to help them getback on their feet after the earthquake.”

Advertisers can update their details online at yellow.co.nz/Christchurch or contact the Yellow® Customer Assist Team on 0800 803 803, or alternatively speak directly to their Yellow® Sales Representative.

The book will include a section with the latest information on business support networks for Christchurch residents including: Christchurch City Council, Chamber of Commerce, Civil Defence, Emergency Services,Salvation Army, Red Cross and SPCA, all of which have been instrumental in helping Cantabrians through this difficult time.

The special edition Christchurch book closes April 28, so businesses are asked to update their business details or add a new free standard business listing prior to this.

The books will be distributed from late May and will be in the market until November, at which time the next main Christchurch Yellow pages® books will be delivered.
