Anika Moa is Mazda’s first ambassador

MEDIA RELEASE
28 April 2011

Anika Moa is Mazda’s first ambassador

Anika Moa has teamed up with Mazda New Zealand as the company’s first brand ambassador.

Moa is one of the country’s leading musicians with four studio albums under her belt along with multiple New Zealand Music Award wins and Apra Silver Scroll nominations.

“I’m really excited to be a Mazda ambassador,” says Moa. “The company supported my Solo Tour in 2010 with a CX-7. I loved the car, it’s got plenty of room for my gear when I’m on the road and I can’t wait to get behind the wheel again.”

Andrew Clearwater, Managing Director of Mazda New Zealand, says the company has developed a strong relationship with the artist and is delighted to have her on board.

“We’ve worked closely with Anika over the past few years and are happy to formally welcome her to the Mazda family and support her busy programme as one of New Zealand’s hardest-working singer-songwriters,” says Clearwater.

Mazda’s relationship with the artist began when she was named Mazda Best Female Solo Artist at both the 2008 and 2010 Vodafone New Zealand Music Awards.

Moa will drive Mazda’s CX-7 crossover which is renowned for its blend of sports car performance with SUV practicality.

Fans will be able to see her out and about in her Sparkling Black CX-7 as she embarks on her Autumn tour. For more information on the tour, visit www.anikamoa.com.
