Business Awards 2011 Launched

Business Awards 2011 Launched

Potential entrants in this year’s Kapiti Horowhenua Electra Business Awards are to be given advice at two information evenings this month.

The first will be held at the BNZ Levin premises this Thursday (5 May) and will allow business people to meet the Entry Coordinator, Jeff Smith of BOOST Business Coaching who will also be available on an individual basis during the entry period to advise potential entrants. Previous winners of awards will speak and organisers and sponsors will be on hand to give advice.

The Paraparaumu information evening will be at the BNZ Bank on Wednesday 11 May with a similar format.

This year’s awards, to be presented on 4 November, provide the same 13 categories as last year, catering for sustainability, export, staff development, health and safety, operations capability, customer service, new thinking, marketing and image building, regional branding and promotion, hi-growth, not for profit, emerging business of the year and small business of the year.

The awards have a new logo for use from this year. The intention is to change its colour annually.

The awards will be announced on Friday 4 November at a gala dinner to be staged at the Southward Theatre.

Enquiries and entries for the awards are now being accepted via the Internet at www.electra.co.nz/businessawards.
