JOOB MOBILE NAMED MICROSOFT TECH-ED NORTH AMERICA FINALIST

Auckland, 5 May 2011 – Barely two weeks after its beta release, JOOB Mobile has been nominated as one of three finalists in the mobile/wireless category of the prestigious Best of Microsoft Tech-Ed North America awards.

From a field of 334 products and services the judges chose 47 finalists* evaluated against three criteria; strategic importance to the market, competitive advantage and value to customers.

JOOB Mobile was highly ranked on all three measures, says Jade Software Managing Director, Craig Richardson.

“This is a tremendous accolade for JOOB Mobile, which is on the leading edge of mobile innovation in one of the world’s fastest growing markets. With smart mobile devices expected to surpass one billion by 2013, JOOB combines and connects any business system to any mobile device, enabling staff and consumers to be more productive.”

The next phase of the judging process – show-floor interviews - will take place on site at Microsoft Tech-Ed, held this year in Atlanta, Georgia. Winners will be announced on 18 May.

“Microsoft New Zealand is excited JOOB Mobile is receiving the worldwide recognition it deserves as a Best of Tech Ed North America finalist – against some pretty stiff international competition!” said Microsoft New Zealand Managing Director Paul Muckleston.

“It’s great to see a seasoned New Zealand technology company continuing a long history of innovation and taking the lead in the increasingly pivotal mobile space,” said Muckleston.
