Tracy Hickman appointed as Associate Director for Staples Rodway Corporate Advisory Services

Staples Rodway has appointed Tracy Hickman as an Associate Director within Corporate Advisory Services at its Auckland office.

Tracy, who joined Staples Rodway in 2007, brings with her more than 20 years experience in the industry at a variety of companies including multi-nationals and small to medium enterprises in both Europe and New Zealand. Her previous positions have included Director, Financial Controller and other managerial roles.

Tracy is a Chartered Management Accountant (ACMA), with a Joint Honours degree in Accounting and Management and a Postgraduate Diploma in Management.

She is currently taking her study even further and is in the final stages of completing a Masters in Management at Massey University, with a special focus on succession planning and corporate governance for SME’s and family businesses. Her research will be published later this year.

Tracy’s principal area of practice, commercial finance, means she has been involved primarily with business planning, dealing with merger and acquisition activities and treasury management. She has significant experience with company restructuring.

Tracy enjoys her financial role out of work too and is Treasurer of the Grey Lynn Business Association. She is also a keen runner, regularly competing at long distance events including the Auckland Marathon in 2008 and the Paris Marathon last year.
