Receivers sell Jean Jones clothing stores
May 20, 2011 - The receivers for the Jean Jones clothing stores confirmed today that they have sold the business, with the new owners to take over on 1 June 2011.
The new owners will continue to operate the 13 Jean Jones stores and the factory outlet store in Kerwyn Avenue, East Tamaki, Auckland. Most of the staff will continue to be employed by the new company.
The receivers Mike Horne and Murray Frost of Deloitte were appointed to the fashion chain in October 2010. Over the past six months the receivers have been working with staff, landlords and suppliers to stabilise the business and return it to a profitable position.
The new owners are Gina Caulfield and Keri Condon. Gina is the current general manager of the Jean Jones stores and has a long association with the company.
Due to Gina’s industry experience, the receivers are confident there will be a smooth transition and that Gina and Keri will continue to build on the success achieved in recent months with the long established Jean Jones brand.
