New Zealand Helicopter Company Recognised for Global Safety Award

Queenstown’s Over The Top – the helicopter company has once again qualified for the Helicopter Association International (HAI) Operator Safety Award.

The International Helicopter Association awards Operators and Pilots annually for the safe operation of helicopters. The Association promotes programs that enhance safety and encourage professionalism.

Over The Top have received safety award honours from the Helicopter Association International (HAI), annually since joining in 1999, this 2010 award being the twelfth year that Over The Top have been awarded this prestigious award. The only New Zealand Company to do so.

CEO, Louisa (Choppy) Patterson, who has operated Over the Top for over 24 years without accident, was delighted to be advised of the accomplishment saying her teams’ commitment to safety and excellence has been a top company priority since the company lifted off in 1986.

“Over the Top’s philosophy is to operate the latest helicopters available with experienced local pilots and dedicated ground crew to ensure that the helicopter service we deliver in this mountainous environment is extraordinary and safe. The crew are absolutely delighted to again receive this safety award accolade.”

This latest honour reflects Over The Top’s distinctive high standards and reinforces the company’s commitment to excellence and safety.
