WHAT A PLANKER- YEAH RIGHT!
Tui is once again using its billboards to
raise awareness of topical news stories and this time it’s
the social media phenomenon ‘planking’.
With much media interest and debate about planking in recent days it was only a matter of time before Tui erected an iconic billboard about the ‘extreme lying down’ craze.
Jarrod Bear, marketing manager of Tui says: “This is a phenomena that has obviously taken off and the end of the day while most people are driving a lot of fun from it Tui believes everyone is still responsible for their own actions.”
A first for the Tui Yeah Right advertising campaign sees a prop being used in its latest billboard. A mannequin lying atop of the billboard in a planking pose, with the wording ‘planking will never take on – Yeah Right’.
The new billboard will appear on the Southern Motorway Billboard tomorrow morning followed by a Hutt motorway billboard, in Wellington, and a Blenheim Road billboard site in Christchurch next week.
