2011
The Wood Processors' Association of New Zealand unanimously elected a new chairman recently.
"Following the board’s vote, I am pleased to confirm Mark Hansen of Rosvall Sawmill was elected as the Chair of WPA" said WPA CEO Jon Tanner.
Following the resignation of former Chair Rob Davies, Mr Hansen stepped in as the interim Chair, while last Monday's election saw him confirmed as Chair going forward.
Mr Hansen is an industry veteran, who joined the WPA board in 2006. He has also served as Deputy Chair since 2010. He has worked in key roles in the timber industry for over thirty years in both Australia and New Zealand.
"The board has the utmost confidence in Mark, and we look forward to his leadership helping move the industry forward" said Dr Tanner.
