Perpetual bolsters executive team with three promotions

June 1 (BusinessDesk) - Pyne Gould Corp.'s wealth management unit Perpetual Group has bolstered its talent line up on its executive team with three promotions, according to a statement filed with the NZX today.
Patrick Middleton has been promoted to chief executive of Perpetual Group, having joined the company in 2009 as chief operating officer. Prior to that he worked for Westpac and BT, where he was the head of wealth management.
James West has been tapped to head operations for Perpetual and will serve as the company's financial controller, having recently worked as a consultant to Perpetual and Torchlight Investment Group. Prior to that, he served as group general manager and chief financial officer at Wool Equities.
Elliot Worrall has been appointed as an executive officer in charge of corporate finance following his role as a consultant to Torchlight Investment Group and Perpetual. He comes from an investment banking, restructuring, and investment management background, having worked for Credit Suisse First Boston in New Zealand and London.
Pyne Gould shares opened unchanged at 40 cents today, and have declined 68% this year following the spinoff of its Marac Finance unit into Heartland New Zealand Ltd.
