Printer Sells Out from Publishing Business
North Shore based printer Benefitz has announced that it has sold its interest in publishing business Mediaweb Limited.
Benefitz was a minority shareholder in Mediaweb, the company established to purchase a number of the titles from the receivers of 3Media back in mid-2009. These titles included Management, Admedia and FMCG magazines. The shareholding has been purchased by the major shareholder.
Mediaweb Limited announced in March that it had purchased the business of TPL Media. Benefitz has not been involved in this purchase.
"We made a decision early this year that after being involved in the business and printing the titles for 18 months that we were better to stick to our knitting and this fitted well with Mediaweb publisher Toni Myers and her expansion plans for the business," says Benefitz Managing Director Aidan Bennett. "With the purchase of TPL Media, and all the extra titles, they quite obviously need the resources of a printer that is more specialised in magazine printing."
"We have also had some great success with establishing Channel Magazine on the North Shore over the past 12 months so are focusing our efforts on this and the wide range of other services that make up our successful business."
Benefitz employs 70 people and offers a diverse range of services, including; digital printing, personalised printing, offset printing, large format digital printing, grand format digital printing, flatbed digital printing, signage, display, graphic design as well as web design, hosting and development.
