The Palms Announces Updates To Reopening Plan

The Palms Announces Updates To Reopening Plan

The Palms Shopping Centre has announced updates to its phased reopening plan, which will see most stores open by 30 June 2011. In the updated plan, many stores will now be opening earlier than had been projected.

The restaurants and Contours, which were scheduled to open in phase three (originally late July), are now opening earlier, on 30 June. Kmart and Reading Cinemas will now open by the end of July and Farmers will open at the end of September.

The Palms Shopping Centre Manager Keryn Ward says, “We have made pleasing progress and are on track with our scheduled re-opening plans and are delighted to announce that more stores than originally anticipated will be opening in our first phase.”

Many of The Palms’ retailers have chosen to take the opportunity to conduct full store refurbishments. “This is exciting news as it will give the centre some fantastic new and up to date stores. Our retailers have the perfect opportunity to refit their store during this time, and shoppers will see some great changes when our doors reopen.

“Over the past few months we have undertaken a number of community initiatives and are very grateful for the positive feedback from so many and would like to thank our retailers and the community for their support and encouragement,” Keryn Ward says.

Details of the phased reopenings are available on The Palms website and Facebook page, as work continues to ready the centre to open its doors to the public. While the centre continues its remedial works, the proposed dates may be subject to change for individual retailers.
