DB Nothing Better Than a School Yard Bully

DB’s win over Green Man Brewery and their trademarked use of the generic name Radler has not found favour within the Crafter Brewers of New Zealand.

West Coast Brewery CEO Paddy Sweeney was vocal at the time and is still incensed at the ruling.

We came out with an alternative to the blatant burgling of the name by having a beer called RELDAR which Radler spelt backwards.

“This was merely blowing a raspberry at the bullies.” Sweeney said

“These bigger buggars love putting the boot into the little guy, but hear me loud and clear the little guys are fighting back. There isn’t a small brewery out there that doesn’t have a better beer than the “Diabetes Causing” brews of the off shore owned Breweries.” Said Sweeney “DB is nothing better than the school yard bully, and sooner or later all school yard bullies get their comeuppance”.

“Folk should go along to Beervarna in Wellington on the 5th and 6th of next month and sample some proper beers from a wide array of great NZ owned growing small Breweries.” Sweeney added.

Beervarna is the biggest Beer Festival in NZ and showcases many craft beers and is also home of the New Zealand Beer Awards.
