Employers’ Chamber of Commerce Announces
New Board
The Employers'
Chamber of Commerce Central (ECCC) has a new board following
recent appointments and a simplification of its governance
structure.
“During the first year of operation we had a dual board in operation, one for the wider region and one which focused on Wellington operations. We have now moved to a single board to simplify the organisation's structure,” said Chamber President Jo Bransgrove.
“Under the new structure the board will operate a number of sub-committees including a Wellington focussed sub-committee,” she said.
Ms Bransgrove said she would like to thank the applicants who generously agreed to put their name forward for appointment as well as those directors who have recently retired.
“Special thanks to our three retiring directors, Keith Smith, John Milford and Bruce Emson for their energy and enthusiasm,” she said.
“I would also like to thank those members who kindly donated their time to focus on the Wellington operations. Richard Stone led the Wellington board comprising Jeremy Baker, Peter Cullen, John Johnston, Nigel Kirkpatrick, Steve Maharey, Todd Moir, Dean Schmidt, Caryll Shailer, John Swan and Pat Walsh.
“All have contributed a great deal of time and energy in our first year of operation and the organisation is in good shape to face the challenges of the future,” Ms Bransgrove concluded.
The new board is as
follows:
