Deadline looms for final entries into Yahoo! New Zealand's Q2 DSA's

Auckland, July, 2011:

Agencies only have three weeks left to enter quarter two of Yahoo! New Zealand's 2011 Digital Strategy Awards.

Established to recognise the role digital strategy plays in the success of on-line campaigns, entries for the Awards close 5pm, Friday 8 August.

"Digital campaigns have become a key communication tool for companies," says Laura Maxwell-Hansen, General Manager of Yahoo! New Zealand. "With a smart strategy backing them, they have the ability to influence behaviour, impart information and build customer relationships, all of which are essential for business success."

Q2 will be judged by regular judges Laura Maxwell-Hansen (GM, Yahoo! New Zealand) and Helen Baxter (Managing Directrix of Mohawk media) with guest judge Justin Watson (GM- Marketing Communications, Tourism New Zealand) joining the panel for this second quarter.

This year the four quarterly winners will be eligible for the overall Yahoo! New Zealand's DSA annual prize of $10,000 of media on Yahoo's web site plus free entry into the CAANZ Media Awards Best Use of Digital category.

"With online advertising being the cement that binds cross media campaigns, it is essential for advertisers and their agencies to harness the value digital plays in their strategic campaigns," says Maxwell-Hansen.

"As mobile and portable devices become further embedded in society, campaign strategies will rely more heavily on the effectiveness and creativity of digital advertising. It will ultimately be the smart digital thinkers of today that will end up steering the success of future campaigns."
