David Onions appointed Director of Millbrook

In management changes at Millbrook Resort near Queenstown, David Onions will move from his General Manager role to a non-executive directorship.

Management duties at the luxury accommodation and golf resort will continue with Gota Ishii as Managing Director.

Mr Onions said he was delighted with the new arrangement.

"I have very much enjoyed working at Millbrook Resort over the past three and a half years and am inordinately proud of what has been achieved here. I'm looking forward now to stepping back from day-to-day operations to be involved at a more strategic level."

Mr Onions is to remain in Queenstown to continue his Millbrook duties and also to pursue community and other goals.

He joins Chairman Mr Ishii and Managing Director Gota Ishii on the Board of Millbrook Country Club Limited.

Mr Ishii thanked Mr Onions for his contribution and welcomed him to the board.

"We are very pleased to welcome to this non executive position and look forward to employing his skills at a more strategic level," he said. "It is very much business as usual at Millbrook with no changes planned to our daily operations."

The changes are effective from Monday, August 1, 2011.
