Organic NZ Baby Food Scoops Top Awards

Organic NZ Baby Food Scoops Top Awards

July 25, 2011

New Zealand organic baby food company Green Monkey has landed a top prize at the prestigious Australian Food Challenge Awards.

It is the second time that the company, which produces a range of super premium baby food sourced from certified organic farms, has won the awards’ ready meals category.

Green Monkey Managing Director Charlotte Rebbeck says the accolade is testament to the brand’s uncompromising commitment to sourcing the very best ingredients.

“As a mother of two, I know that busy parents want to be absolutely certain that they are not feeding unnecessary additives or preservatives to their babies,” she says.

“By sourcing all our produce from New Zealand farmers we personally know and trust we can ensure the highest quality, and our customers can be totally confident they know exactly where their baby’s food is coming from.”

Now in its 7th year, the Food Magazine Food Challenge Awards recognise best practice and innovation in food and beverage processing in Australia and New Zealand.

Green Monkey won the latest award for two of its recipes: organic beef, beetroot, apple and pumpkin and organic lamb, carrot and sweet potato. The multi award- winning company previously won the Australian Food Challenge award for ready meals in 2009, officially making Green Monkey the most awarded baby food in Australia.

Based near Christchurch in New Zealand’s South Island, Green Monkey is the only baby food in the world that can claim that its product is 100 per cent traceable.

It is also renowned for its innovative “pouch” packaging which ensures its contents arrives in peak condition and can be stored at room temperature for up to 12 months.

Note: Green Monkey is available at Woolworths, IGA and Thomas Dux stores in Australia. New Zealand, Dubai, Singapore, China, South Africa.
