Two Kiwis Make The FINSIA Pinnacle Awards
Shortlist
Two New Zealanders have been shortlisted for the Financial Services Institute of Australasia’s (Finsia) Pinnacle Awards: Michael Milne, an investment adviser with Craigs Investment Partners in Dunedin, and Janine Starks, the co-managing director of Liontamer Investments from Christchurch.
The Pinnacle Awards were established this year to mark Finsia’s 125th anniversary. They seek to recognise Australasia’s exceptional financial services professionals including thought leaders, visionaries and role models who have made an outstanding contribution to the sector.
Finsia’s chief executive Russell Thomas said, “The Pinnacle Awards are intended to provide recognition for our sector’s most exceptional professionals throughout Australasia. We’re delighted that two of our New Zealand members have been recognised for their achievements by their peers, and are contenders for a Pinnacle Award.”
A committee of senior Finsia members selected the shortlist of 59 from almost 300 nominations. The Award winners will be announced at Finsia’s 125th Anniversary Gala Dinner on Tuesday, 25 October 2011 and will be selected from the shortlist by a panel of some of Australasia’s most distinguished financial services leaders including New Zealander Sir John Anderson, Jill Segal, Carolyn Hewson, Annabel Spring, James Strong, Cassandra Kelly, John Green, Tony Howarth and Brian Schwartz.
