Two Golds For stuff.co.nz At International Web Awards

Congratulations to the team at stuff.co.nz for winning two Golds at the 2011 W3 Awards in Los Angeles.

Receiving over 3,000 entries, The W3 Awards honours outstanding Websites, Web Marketing, Web Video, & Mobile Apps created by some of the best interactive agencies, designers, and creators worldwide.

Stuff won the Gold in two categories: Mobile Applications-News category and Mobile Websites-News.

Fairfax Media’s General Manager Digital Media, Nigel Tutt is thrilled with the win.

“International awards are always fantastic to win. It’s nice to know that the work we are doing here in New Zealand is getting recognised at such a high level,” says Nigel.

“It’s been a big year for us in mobile and stuff.co.nz is now the most visited mobile site in the country. We are content providers to a wide and ever-expanding range of news delivery platforms. We’ve also launched apps for our Rugby Heaven Rugby World Cup coverage that we’re getting good downloads on. It’s an exciting space to be in.”

W3 winners demonstrate out-of-the box thinking and creative execution that exemplifies what the web is all about.

Linda Day, the Executive Director of the IAVA has also sent her congratulations.

"On behalf of the entire Academy, congratulations to this year’s W3 award entrants and winners for their dedication to pushing the limits and finding new ways to raise the bar in web creativity."
