A summer surprise fresh from Wild South Wines

Fresh and aromatic is one way to describe the 2011 Wild South Marlborough Pinot Gris, which captures the vivacity of the region.

The 2011 Marlborough harvest has once again produced fruit in great condition; the result is a generous fleshy wine with spicy fruit layers and purity of character.

There's a taste of spring in every sense when enjoying this wine. Classic Pinot Gris aromas of nashi pear mix with a streak of baking spice to tempt the senses and mingling with delicate floral notes of wild flowers. The palate is full of surprises with fleshy flavours retaining a smooth flow through to finish with a slight acid peak which rounds off to soft lingering pear.

This wine has an elegance and purity which can be enjoyed now or cellared for two to three years. Served lightly chilled with fresh fish or a favourite pasta dish, this wine is the perfect drop for all occasions.

The 2011 Wild South Marlborough Pinot Gris is available at wine outlets nationwide. RRP $18.99
