Cue Gets Creative with Strategy Merger
1 November, 2011
Strategy Design and Advertising's Group managing partner Geoff Cranko announced today that Cue Design in Wellington has joined the Strategy Design and Advertising network.
The merger takes the number of Strategy studios to four – with Wellington joining Christchurch, Auckland and Sydney.
“I am delighted to have Peter and his team join Strategy. Their service is renowned and now Strategy can offer its world-class, design-led advertising on a truly national basis to all of our clients,” says Cranko.
Cue Design is one of the Capital's most established design companies with more than 20 years' experience in the Wellington market working with large corporate and government clients like Telecom, the NZ Fire Service, the National Library, the NZ Police and the NZ Food Safety Authority.
Managing partner Peter Gray says their success and longevity comes down to its client-focused approach. “We go beyond a normal working relationship to being integrated in their business. With clients like Outward Bound, the Insitute of Directors, Asianz and the Reserve Bank, we've had a journey of more than eight years.”
“I’m delighted to be part of the network and bring a fresh new level of design-led design and advertising into the Wellington market,” Gray says.
“Strategy have not only built an enviable reputation for creating outstanding design-led work but have also created an internal culture that inspires confidence, inspiration and passion to craft the very best work for their clients,” Gray says.
“The opportunity to have access to award winning creative and strategic talent through Strategy’s group creative partner Guy Pask and group strategist Michael Prentice together with business development support from group managing partner Geoff Cranko is very exciting,” Gray says.
“A successful partnership should share similar professional and personal values and respect for each others point of view. For me it feels right, feels comfortable,” he says.
Group creative partner Guy Pask says, "I am really looking forward to working with Peter and with Caspian Ievers, the new design director in the Wellington studio. Caspian worked in the Christchurch studio and he is hugely talented."
Background
Strategy Design was started by typographer Guy Pask in 1992. When Pask's passion for design combined forces with the business skills of Geoff Cranko in 2002, Strategy Design and Advertising was formed and the business began to focus on a much bigger picture.
The powerful combination of creative excellence and strategic business thinking has provided the foundation for a successful business. It has grown from a single studio to a continually expanding network of boutique agencies, now with more than 80 people spread across offices in Christchurch, Auckland, Sydney and Wellington.
Strategy Design and Advertising is an international award winning, full service, design-led advertising agency. This year it was recognised with an unprecedented 25 “pins” at the 2011 Best Awards.
