KidzGrab: Grabbing the chance
Grabbing the chance
Brainchild of Katherine Armon KidzGrab is the first daily deal site for kids and their families in New Zealand. KidzGrab launched a month ago now to great excitement within the parenting community. It has lived up to all its promises offering deals on great products and services especially promoting new, smaller independent businesses especially those owned and run by parents.
'I noticed a gap in the market' says Director Katherine Armon 'I am a single Mum of two girls myself and was getting fed up with trawling through all the various daily deal sites looking for things that were for my kids and realised that was what was missing, a daily deal sit just for parents'.
The website is state of the art built by the Jump on it (living Social) web builders. 'I wanted to make sure that the site itself felt friendly and family orientated, we had great fun using children in around Auckland for all the photography used on the site' says Kate 'I wanted the buttons, the colours the aesthetics of the site to feel child friendly. It was also really important to me to build a community within our social media pages. Somewhere parents could stay and chat, meet other parents, share ideas, advice and events going on including meet up groups for parents and kids'.
With so many daily deal sites flooding the market you need to be different from the rest and KidzGrab ticks all the right boxes. Unlike so many other sites that have since jumped on the 'family deal site' band wagon, KidzGrab have a truly unique take on an old idea with a fresh and innovative approach. KidzGrab isn't just a change of page colour it's a whole new concept just for kids and families.
The first deal on KidzGrab was hugely ambitious selling 3,000 tickets for The Polkadots Christmas Extravaganza, a concert especially organised by both teams from KidzGrab and The Polkadots at The TelstraClear Stadium on December 17th. The first show did so well that KidzGrab released a second show for another 3,000 tickets. 'I have been so grateful for all their help and support, organising this concert has been a blast and a great way to introduce my company to New Zealand with a bang!' Tickets can still be found at www.kidzgrab.co.nz for just $6.00 a ticket!
