Very rare Bank of NZ One Pound Note
A very rare Bank of NZ One Pound specimen note is leading a massive re-born interest in extremely valuable old Kiwi paper money on both sides of the Tasman!
Sydney-based rare banknote dealer and leading collector John Pettit - one of the world's most respected authorites - says rare and historic NZ notes were gaining immensly in popularity!
"We've had sell-out sales from previous NZ issues, and I believe this Bank of NZ One Pound note is the most beautiful NZ note ever printed, and would be a signature highlight for any serious Kiwi collection," Mr Pettit said.
The One Pound note dates to (Circa 1888) Wellington!
Just 11 days from the NZ general election, Mr Pettit said he was not surprised New Zealanders - struggling with their financial future - were turning back the clock in order to shore up their future! "The history and appreciation of NZ notes is spreading like wildfire through the collectors' and business worlds on both sides of the Tasman!"
Mr Pettit recently sold a pair of rare notes to a NZ buyer for nearly $15,000.00.
