VHP announces reappointment of Chairman Bill Thurston and failure of ACC and associates proposed resolution
The annual meeting of Vital Healthcare Property Trust (the “Trust”) was held yesterday at Eden Park, Auckland. Two resolutions were put to the meeting and were voted on by unitholders.
The first resolution - to consider the proposal put to unitholders by Accident Compensation Corporation, The Guardians of New Zealand Superannuation, Westpac Banking Corporation and BT Private Selection, on 13 July 2011 - was not approved by unitholders.
Voting was
conducted by a
poll, with 26,975,068 (25.24%) units
voting for the resolution and 79,883,978 (74.76%)
against.
Mr Bill Thurston was re-appointed as an independent director of the Manager with 93.88% voting for his re-appointment. Mr Thurston has been an independent director and chairman of the Trust since 2007.
