Entries to Close in Dairy Awards
There are just a few days left before entries close in the 2012 New Zealand Dairy Industry Awards.
Entries in the New Zealand Sharemilker/Equity Farmer of the Year, New Zealand Farm Manager of the Year and New Zealand Dairy Trainee of the Year close on December 20. Entries are being received online at www.dairyindustryawards.co.nz.
National convenor Chris Keeping says there is a huge amount to gain from the experience of entering and participating in the Dairy Industry Awards for people working, managing and investing in the country’s dairy farms.
“Entrants gain through the knowledge shared by judges and other entrants and from the networks developed and opportunities realised to advance their careers.”
Mrs Keeping says the awards encourage best practice and the sharing of excellence, and they also identified and promoted future industry leaders.
“Entering and doing well in the awards is a great addition to any curriculum vitae.”
The awards are supported by national sponsors Westpac, DairyNZ, Ecolab, Federated Farmers, Fonterra, Honda Motorcycles NZ, LIC, Meridian Energy, Ravensdown and RD1, along with industry partner AgITO.
Organisers hope about 500 people will enter the awards through one of the 12 regional competitions being held nationwide. The regional winners all progress to a national final. More information can be found at www.dairyindustryawards.co.nz.
