A New Zealand First for Holiday-Makers with Jasons’ New Travel App

Your best travel companion for the summer holidays has just arrived, and it’s free at the iTunes App Store!

In keeping with the spirit of the season, Jasons Travel Media (Jasons) is gifting you their new travel app, so you can book instant holidays at the touch of a screen.

Jasons’ is the first New Zealand-focused travel app that lets you book your choice of nearly 2,000 accommodation properties nationwide directly from your phone. It uses a secure encrypted connection, so you can have total confidence when you book.

This innovative and time-saving app can find accommodation near you immediately by using GPS locator technology and has the added benefit of being able to filter your needs based on price, hot deals and accommodation preferences.

While you are tripping around, use the ‘Near Me’ feature, which takes you straight to local attractions and accommodation options with maps and high resolution photos giving you a closer look at your options.

Jasons Marketing Manager Lara Ortiz says Jasons has always provided the traveller with a comprehensive list of places to stay and things to do, but now provide all of that and more in the next generation of technology.

“We wanted to make it as simple and user-friendly as possible for the iPhone user so they can plan, book and experience their holiday with one easy tool. You really can plan your whole trip from the palm of your hand.”

Travellers will be particularly keen on the ‘Hot Deals’ feature, while the ‘What’s Nearby’ option at the bottom of every listing is a smart addition. Photos, maps and other travellers’ reviews can also help you plan your stay. You can even save your favourite places and things to do or access your completed bookings for reference.

The travel app is the second initiative in Jasons’ developing suite of market-leading mobile tools, the first being Txt2Check®, released in October – another New Zealand first for the travel industry.

“Alongside our print publications and website, mobile technology is another way we help travellers get the information they need to create the perfect holiday,” says Miss Ortiz.

So jump into the iTunes store, download the app and start planning that summer break now.
