NZ’s Oldest Jewellery Retailer Open for Business

Petersens Limited, the iconic jewellery retailer from New Regent Street, Christchurch is back in business after losing their shop in the Christchurch quake in February.

“The new store will open on Monday the 19th of December and be based at 121 Papanui Road, the corner of Merivale Lane and Papanui Road”, says Petersens Limited Director, Peter Morrison.

The iconic store has a long history that dates back to 1863 of retailing jewellery, a history of 148 years making it the oldest jewellery retailer in New Zealand.

Peter Morrison, Director says it’s been heartening to get such messages of support from customers wanting to know when they will reopen.

The shop will open with a stunning collection of diamond rings of superior quality, and an extensive range of gold jewellery.

Opening hours will be Monday to Friday, 8.30 to 5.30pm and Saturdays 10am to 1pm
