Christmas Spirit comes to
Newmarket
Newmarket Business Association
Chief Executive, Ashley Church, has hailed a local staff
Christmas initiative as ‘a fantastic promotion of
Dickensian proportions’.
The 13 directors of Newmarket Chartered Accountancy firm, Hayes Knight, have decided to reward their 112 staff by giving each of them $250, in cash, on Wednesday the 14th of December at 3.30pm.
But there’s a catch. Each staff member will have just 90 minutes to spend the money, in Newmarket, and anything not spent within that time will be donated to charity.
Hayes Knight has been working secretly with the Association to engage Newmarket retailers in the promotion and Mr Church says that there is a lot of excitement amongst member businesses.
“The promotion injects $28,000 into Newmarket retail over just 90 minutes and our businesses have been invited to put together compelling offers to encourage Hayes Knight staff to spend their $250 in their stores. As a result, I’m aware that there are some quite tempting offers available”
Mr Church has praised the promotion as both generous, and clever.
“This is a fantastic initiative that not only recognises team's excellence, but also provides a cash injection to Newmarket's businesses for the festive season”
