Beef + Lamb New Zealand calls for director nominations
Nominations for two farmer-elected positions on the Board of Beef + Lamb New Zealand close next Wednesday, 18 January 2012 at 5 pm.
The positions are for the Northern North Island electorate and the Northern South Island electorate.
Nominations must be submitted on the official form that can be accessed from the Returning Officer, Warwick Lampp by free phoning 0508 666 336.
To be eligible to vote, a livestock farmer must have owned at least 250 sheep, or 50 beef cattle, or 100 dairy cattle on 30 June 2011 and must be registered on the Beef + Lamb New Zealand Electoral Roll by 5 pm Wednesday 8 February 2012. Farmers are encouraged to check their enrolment details by phoning 0508 666 336.
The elections will be conducted by postal and internet voting. Forms will be mailed out to farmers in late February and need to be cast by Election Day which is 8 March 2012.
The Beef + Lamb New Zealand Annual Meeting will be held on 22 March 2012 in the Eastern North Island electorate . Remits are currently being called for and must be submitted by 18 January 2012 to Beef + Lamb New Zealand General Counsel, Mark Dunlop. Remits require the signatures of 10 farmers who are registered on the Beef + Lamb New Zealand Electoral Roll.
Remits will be inlcuded with voting documents for the Annual Meeting and will be sent to farmers later next month.
