Wellington Employers’ Chamber of Commerce to Rejuvenate Board
The Wellington Employers’ Chamber of Commerce has kicked off the process to reinstate its Board. The new Board will be confirmed at the organisation’s AGM in late February.
It was decided to resurrect the Board at a meeting last December after a debate as to how best to structure the organisation and nominations have been sought to fill vacancies.
“The Wellington Employers’ Chamber aims to influence local decision makers for the benefit of Wellington business and the new Board will play a key role in determining its direction,” said President Richard Stone.
“It will continue the path that was set at the time of the merger between the Wellington Chamber with the Employers and Manufacturers Association Central,” he said
The Wellington Employers’ Chamber of
Commerce (WECC) is the Wellington presence of the
Employers’ Chamber of Commerce Central (ECCC). It is the
primary business organisation representing businesses and
enterprises in Wellington City.
