Christchurch Airport Undertakes Annual Runway Maintenance
Annual runway maintenance is being carried out at Christchurch Airport.
For operational and safety reasons the work is undertaken at night and is expected to be completed over the next four weeks. These works may lead to increased aircraft movements on the cross wind runway, so some people may experience increased levels of aircraft noise.
CIAL, Airways Corporation, airlines and the contractors involved are conscious of the impact these essential annual works have on our neighbours. We are doing our best to minimise the effects and appreciate our neighbours’ patience and understanding.
