Consumer Product Recall Vitaco
Consumer Product
Recall
As a precaution, Vitaco Health New Zealand is recalling all of its Healtheries Kidscare Rice Wheels Multipack products with a best before date of 24/11/12 or earlier.
The recall is due to glass being found in a small number of the Rice Wheel products in Australia.
There have been no reports of injury.
However, the company is undertaking a voluntary consumer
product recall.
The products affected by this
recall are:
• Healtheries Kidscare Rice
Wheels:
o Cheese
o Sour Cream & Chives
o
Burger
“Food safety is paramount to our operation and the wellbeing of our consumers is our top priority,” said General Manager Marketing of Vitaco Ondine Waddle.
“As a precautionary measure, we are also
recalling Healtheries The Wiggles Ricey Bites:
o
Cheese
o Tomato
Because they are also made from rice and are manufactured on the same production line. There have been no product complaints received in respect to Healtheries The Wiggles products.”
No other Healtheries product is affected.
“Consumers should return the product to their retailer for a full refund. We sincerely regret the fact that the products have reached the market and consumers can rest assured a thorough investigation is underway.
“We apologise to all our consumers for any inconvenience,” Ms Waddle says.
