‘Shaken not stirred’ at Crowne Plaza Queenstown

A new Cocktail Club launched at a premier Queenstown hotel is already proving a hit with locals.

The Cocktail Club runs every Friday at Crowne Plaza Queenstown in Threesixty Bar, and will welcome its second round of club members this Friday (March 23).

The club is members-based and is set up to provide well-priced beverages in a superb location for people living and working in the area.

Crowne Plaza Food and Beverage Manager Vinni Patena said everyone was invited to come along and join.

“We have the perfect setting for guests to enjoy our stunning Crowne Plaza environment, a delicious cocktail and reasonably priced drinks,” he said.

“We launched last week and were delighted with the initial response. We offer one ‘Cocktail of the week’ each Friday and a selection of beer and wine, and they’re all available for just $5 each for club members.

“Clearly word is starting to get around, as we’re getting new members joining every day.”

Mr Patena said Cocktail Club members also enjoyed a selection of finger food, personally crafted by talented Executive Chef Scott Wyper.

“Chef is making it his personal mission to ‘wow’ our club guests with some pretty stunning food, and it’s all free for members during Cocktail Club hours.”

Club members who turn up each Friday also go into a draw to win a weekly prize. This Friday’s prize is a $100 food and beverage voucher for Threesixty Bar and Restaurant.

Members can reserve a table in the restaurant on Friday nights and receive 25% off their total food bill while enjoying the new autumn menu. The new menu has been in place since the beginning of March and has already earned Chef Wyper a standing ovation from one group of delighted dinner guests.

This Friday’s (March 23) cocktail is an ‘Absolut Kurant Metropolitan’ – a mix of Absolut Kurant vodka, fresh lime juice and cranberry juice.
