That Box On Taranaki Street – What It's All About
That Box On Taranaki Street – What Its All About
There have been a few rumours flying around about a certain structure that’s popped up on lower Taranaki st.
At number 24, sliding up against the old Licks strip club, an ambiguous looking box has arrived. With no signage, announcement or obvious purpose – there’s a hive of activity as people curiously pass the site and question what’s being planned?
Always looking for new ways to
promote their businesses, two award-winning blokes: Jason
Clark, cocktail mixologist at Bettys and Equalize Founder;
and Sam Pope, Personal Chef, who brings the restaurant
experience into people’s homes, stumbled across an
opportunity in the form of an empty box.
They decided
to showcase their services (and others around them) through
a series of exclusive pop-up events. Neighbours and friends
Mojo Coffee, Les Mills Extreme & Chilli Marketing quickly
jumped on board and ‘Living This City’ was born.
The venue is perfect for one-off events due to its small size and ‘blank-canvas’ interior. They all decided to celebrate what they love about living, working and breathing Wellington which involves eating, drinking, exercising and of course coffee.
The events are free, but you’ll have to enter your details to be in the draw for an invite, more info can be found here: www.livingthiscity.co.nz.
