Sacred Hill introduces 2011 Marlborough Chardonnay

Sacred Hill has released its 2011 Sacred Hill Orange Label Marlborough Chardonnay to the market offering consumers another exceptional wine with all the hallmarks of a great Chardonnay vintage.

Made from grapes sourced from selected vineyards throughout the Marlborough region, this more-ish Chardonnay has the enticing aromas of apricots, nougat, freshly whipped cream and hazelnuts.

Chief Winemaker Tony Bish says the 2011 vintage started slowly in Marlborough, but the warm dry months prior to harvest ensured healthy grapes full of flavour.

“The result is a Chardonnay delicate in texture with intense bright fruit flavours. The wine is a delight to the senses, with a background of baking spices, and a delectable aftertaste of stonefruit and meringue flavours which linger in the mouth,” says Mr Bish.

Ideally this wine should be cellared for one to three years then enjoyed lightly chilled as an aperitif or with fish, seafood and white meats – the perfect accompaniment to Pacific Rim cuisine.

The 2011 Sacred Hill Marlborough Chardonnay is available at wine outlets nationwide and has an affordable RRP of $22.99.
