Jamie Fitzgerald inspires business leaders

Manawatu business leadership group Three Keys recently held a networking event at FMG Stadium. The guest speaker was adventurer and business mentor Jamie Fitzgerald.

Mr Fitzgerald was one of the first Kiwis to complete the 1100km walk to the South Pole. He has also rowed across the Atlantic and is currently filming a documentary recreating pioneer journeys in New Zealand.

He spoke about the importance of working with people and defining success. Determination was also a key theme, as he shared anecdotes and video footage from his grueling expeditions.

The event was held in partnership with FMG, and General Manager Conrad Wilkshire introduced the speaker. He also expressed his strong support for Three Keys and its value to the local business community.

Over 100 local businesspeople attended, according to Three Keys founding member Aaron Armstrong. He is delighted that membership is growing, as more businesses realise the potential for leadership and professional development.

The event was the first this year, part of a series of 6. The next speaker will be business coach Sue Lindsay on May 31. For more information, visit www.3keys.co.nz.

3 Keys was founded in 2011 by staff from BDO Manawatu Limited, Blacksheepdesign, BNZ Palmerston North and Core Wealth Solutions. It aims to bring together like-minded young professionals and provide inspirational speakers and networking opportunities.
